Who has heard of PNAC? 
Project for a New American Century? 
How many Americans realize that PNAC was basically the blue print and business plan for the events that played out on 9/11? PNAC... "The process of transformation - even if it brings revolutionary change is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a New Pearl Harbor."

 When George W. Bush took office, he brought with him Vice President Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz  - all of whom had served together previously within the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H W Bush.

 Paul Wolfowitz, in particular, had long been recognized as the intellectual force behind a radical Neoconservative fringe of the Republican party.

For years, Wolfowitz had been advancing the idea that the US should reconsider its commitments to international treaties - international law, and multilateral organizations, such as the United Nations.

 A radical plan for American military domination first surfaced during the administration of George H W Bush.  In 1992, Paul Wolfowitz, working in the Dept. of Defense - was asked to write the first draft of a New National Security Strategy - a document entitled "The Defense Planning Guidance".  The most controversial elements of what would later come to be known as the Wolfowitz Doctrine - where the US should dramatically increase defense spending - that it should be willing to take preemptive military action and that it should be willing to use military force unilaterally with or without allies.  This new reliance was necessary to prevent the emergence of a new rival of any future or potential rivals to American power - and to secure access to vital resources, especially Persian Gulf oil.
PNAC - A right win think tank - called itself Project for a New American Century - 

 At its core, the document revived the Wolfowitz doctrine.  It called on the US to increase the military budget - by up to 100 billion dollars.

 To deny other nations the use of outer space and to adopt a more aggressive and unilateral foreign policy allowing the US to act defensively and preemptively in the world.

 The elimination of states like Iraq figured prominently in this grande vision.

 But even these hard lined conservatives knew that the Wolfowitz Doctrine was likely too radical to win the support of the foreign policy establishment, their own Republican party, and the American people.

 In their defining document, written in Sept. of 2000,  (a full year before 9/11), they acknowledged that "the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one - absent (in their own chilling words) some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a New Pearl Harbor."

 One year later - that event would arrive.... 9/11.

12 Parallels between Pearl Harbor and Sept. 11th - 

1.)  Ultimate Goal - the ultimate goal was not the one initially stated.

Pearl Harbor - a surprise attack by Japan would surprise the American public and jump start war.  FDR would get war with Hitler (his private agenda).

9/11 - The Neocons knew that a surprise attack would enrage the public and would create the war machine against Afghanistan - they would get a back door entry into war with Saddam Hussein.


2.)  Propaganda Machine - relentless effort to make a direct connection between Hitler and Japan, one pole stated that over 60% of Americans believed that Germany was behind the Japanese attack.

9/11 - the propaganda machine was trying to make the connection between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden.

A high percentage of Americans believed Saddam Hussein was behind the Sept. 11th attacks.

3.)  Knew in Advance - Top level people knew that Pearl Harbor was going to be attacked.

Cornell Hall - secretary of state - knew a week ahead that Pearl Harbor wouldbe attacked.

Before Sept. 11th - many in the intelligence community knew that the attack was on its way.

4.)  Vital Information was Withheld - Kept from those who could have used it to create better defenses for Pearl Harbor.

Before Sept. 11th, important information was kept from Richard Clark to have blocked the attacks.

In both cases, the pre-knowledge was denounced in front of Congress.
